Who wants to see a massive collection of images of Venice? I do. In fact, I do so much that I might catch the train for half an hour to be there again very soon! Actually, let's not employ half measures;

HAA HAA HAA HAA HAA HAA HAAAAAAAAAA suck it.

Now, it has been said that Venezia is a nice place to visit for an afternoon, but there isn't much there. It seems to me that this would be true for someone who did not love maps or following their feet. "See, I have these feet... My investigating feet!" It would also be true of people not obsessed with thousand year old cities. I will not describe it, I will post pictures. While it is a tourist trap, one is never more than a lane or two away from complete solitude. The only places you need see crowds are the three bridges across the grand canal, where all foot traffic must pass. The main tourist routes (I don't say thoroughfares as there is no such thing in Venezia) can be circumvented.

However, it is a perilous place! Your time, your money, your heart; it will lazily steal all these things! You will eat your squid ink pasta and upon getting the bill hyperventilate!

Just don’t drink the water.

I believe I will take your advice on that. There are these constantly running little tap things all over the city, but unless I can be sure the water doesn't come from the canals I'm not going near them.
