Right now, my collaboration has 2 papers on related topics, written by 2 different men in 2 different notations. It has been rightly determined that we must see that these 2 papers are concordant. In order to do this, a 3rd man has written a paper comparing the 2, again in his own notation. He has asked me to see that it is correct. Thus, I must compare 3 papers worth of complicated mathematics, dancing between 3 successively more complicated notations. Poke out my eyes with burnt sticks if I'm lying, but I can't get 'em to match. Is this because my workings are wrong? Is this because the 3 papers just don't match? Personally, I think it's both. This is what tradesmen call an 'apprentice job'. Next, I will go into town to buy a can of compression and a tin of stripey paint.

Very fleetingly. The M.O. for Paul's post titles is to use a line from a song that is relevant to the post. My reply was relevant to the title but not really the post itself. Hence confusion.
